Climate induced vulnerability on rural infrastructure and shattered life

Peoples suffering get heightened during flood because of unplanned embankments and vulnerability of low-lying lands where people live.Climate change adaptation and planned infrastructure are urgent to make the mass accommodations more sustainable in disaster situation.Flooding and river bank erosions are the extreme outcomes of climate change in Bangladesh.This is what the people of Northern region in Bangladesh are facing every year.To minimize the impacts of climate change, river embankments must be well-built, accommodations places must be climate resilient and people’s needs must be addressed in development context.
